Education is a primary
ingredient and also a key to sucess in any profession. With a booming
economy and a young population. It is imperative to provide quality
education to this population which will create skills required by
various sectors of the economy and industry.
Providing quality learning in higher education is becoming a major
focus area in the country not only with the Government but, also
increasingly, with educational institutions. The need of the day for
any educational institution is to provide education that ecompasses
world class curiculum and is also industry focused.
ASOM has been addressing this growing need by continuously upgrading
and enhancing the quality, curiculum and methodology in its programs
offered to its distance learning students.
Post Graduate Programme is an integrated program designed to provide an
advance program in management for those seeking managerial positions in
industry, commerce and services. The core subjects are aimed at
developing knowledge and skills in fundamental management disciplines.
The program also involves participation in group work with students
from diverse backgrounds and is aimed at improving the decision making
abilities of the participants in management related areas.
Objectives:-

To provide intensive theorectical and practical knowledge of management.

To provide an integrated perspective of management functioning along
with a fair amount of exposure to real life cases / technical know how.

To hone the student's analytical abilities.

To provide access to a broad base of knowledge in core managerial skills.

To develop the essential management skills required to meet and
participate in an increasingly international business environment.

To build upon the essential core management modules allowing greater emphasis on elective modules of management.
The program is divided over four semesters, each spanning 16 weeks approximately. The summer internship
(8 weeks) in an industrial organization following the first year is
scheduled. With emphasis on practical approach throughout, classroom
learning is complemented with assignments, case-studies and field
visits, with active participation of the students.
A well defined induction program. Experimental learning through event
management , cultural program, trekking, group discussions and other
institutional activities. |
