THE PG PROGRAMME :

It is divided into four semesters, each of approximately 16 weeks. The "internship" (8 weeks), in an industrial organization following the first year, takes place in the vacation. We emphasize self study, throughout the programme. Hence, besides classroom learning,  there are assignments, case-study sessions, and field studies, in which the active participation of the students is expected

LECTURES :

ASOM understands that the face- to- face teaching is a key to a component in providing quality education. Face to face means that all lectures are conducted by an academic on campus, not online or via any other mode. At ASOM it is this that ensures the opportunity for higher learning.

During lectures, students have the opportunity to not only learn from the faculty members, but also from their fellow students. Lectures are highly interactive, debate is rigorous and course outlines and content are developed to link directly to the 'real world'.

OUR STUDENTS:

The typical ASOM student is one seeking to increase his or her knowledge and skills, has a thirst for learning, a desire to actively participate in class and a willingness to learn from others, while enabling others to learn from their experiences. ASOM's curriculum lays emphasis on participatory learning- combining lectures, case studies, projects, games and outdoor sessions for overall development of students. All new students go through a week long orientation programme which includes indoor as well as outdoor sessions, to help them settle down, get to know each other and form strong working teams.

PRACTICAL PROGRAMMES :

Through the use of work related projects, focusing on an issue within the individual's own or a chosen organization, the transfer of learning is enhanced and executives can link their activities to real situations. To assist in demonstrating practical application in the workplace, ASOM also selects a variety of industry leaders as guest
speakers.

RIGOROUS PROGRAMMES :

ASOM understands the demands of a busy lifestyle. Notwithstanding, our programes are rigorous and demanding. Each course term is conducted over 16 weeks term.

SYNDICATE GROUP WORK :

Working in coordinating groups and teams is commonplace in business today. Syndicate group work allows for the broadening of business knowledge, as the interaction with fellow students provides different perspectives on business issues. At the same time, students will increase their exposure to a variety of industries, cultures, job functions, and operating styles of other organizations. Group members will have different perspectives opinions and experiences to share. This creates an environment for the cross fertilization of knowledge and a chance to step beyond the bounds of familiar thinking.
